Quick query - spouse vis

Post by HarryC » Fri Jun 12, 2015 2:02 pm

A very quick query
I am UK resident got ILR and getting married in Sept and will be applying visa for my spouse in Sept 2015.

Can i be there with her when she is applying for her visa OR do i need to return to UK when she is applying for visa?

You don't need to be in the UK when she submits the application. The choice is yours whether you stay or not.

but will it be a problem if i am there when she is applying for her visa?
I am going to get married in sept and will see if we can get appointment at Visa office whilst I am there and apply her visa?

will it be okay that i am in her country while she is applying OR do i "have to" be in UK when she is applying for her spouse visa?

That'll be fine, although you may well not be permitted to enter with her.

Just one more thing if anyone can reply

I will be providing my accomodation proof i.e. mortgage papers etc (whatever i will get from my solicitors) and also my decree absolute.
My question is, do i need to submit everything in original? or can i get photocopies (cerified of course). Just scared that if I give my originals, what if i dont get some of these back???

Also, with regards to my payslips and bank statements, they are all online as i dont get paper copies. Was planning to print them off in colour printer. Will that be okay?

Online bank statements should be signed and stamped by the issuing bank

I didn't intend to write in large font, but it didn't want to correct with an edit! :? At least you couldn't miss it!

Thanks Casa

I know it wasnt intentional from you. It was more of a tongue in cheek reply. and yes you are right i didnt miss it.

Well thanks again for your guidance. I am sure there will be some more questions/guidance required from you when i go through this process.
