NCS procedure

Post by chocolateorange88 » Wed Jun 10, 2015 10:58 pm

Just a minor question:

what should I expect when I go to NCS?
and in the May 2015 form the last two pages are just listing supporting documents do I really need to send that off aswell or?
oh, and will the B1 certificate be included on its own like it was when applying for ILR or will I need the summary slip/notification of performance sheet too?
thanks

• Take all documents you'd normally send with your application.

NCS will photocopy all your documents except your Life In The UK (LIUK) test certificate, will return originals to you there and then. Your original LIUK test certificate will go with your Naturalisation application, as you will never need it once you're Naturalised as a British Citizen. Good luck.

Thank you.

We just took both passports, marriage certificate, ( and it's certified translation as it's not English) life in the UK and B1 certificate.

so I guess we are also in the waiting game. NCS lady told me hey are taking 2/3 weeks to debit but judging by this forum is say 3-5 weeks....

thank you to everybody as the amount of knowledge and advice here is overwhelming

I'm guessing, since it comes from a designated NCS office address, with NCS documents enclosed and NCS officer's receipt that they have received/seen genuines, that acts as attestation. But it is also possible they attest it later on, since they have photocopied it themselves.

I rang the ncs lady and asked her directly. she says the
documents are all photocopied and stamped to verify the originals have been seen.

I do not think it needs deletion, on the contrary, its now confirmed that what NCS does with documents. It will benefit others reading the forum.

yes NCS now keep LIUK original certificate (to be submitted to UKBA) and take copies of rest of supporting documents. Its recommended to copy LIUK form or ask them to give you a copy for your records.

Yeah I know now.

The NCS returned everything back after photocopying and stamping what she copied. She also gave me a photocopy of my LIUK as obviously that won't be needed once naturalised.

Aren't you British by birth as per your post in this link?

thanks

I'm not applying as I'm British by birth but my husband will apply hopefully upon approval of naturalisation
If yes why did you have to take LIUK test? I don't think its necessary?

@fwd079 - OP is British, spouse is from Turkey. Spouse has only just recently (last week) applied for naturalisation through NCS, but OP is asking questions about future passport application. So I am guessing that the OP and the spouse are both using the same log in perhaps.

I understand, but it does create confusion when two people ask using the same user ID. If you are asking on behalf of husband, please state that it is for your husband as the applicant so that it is clear for members.

Thanks for clarification, but I think CR001's advice is very helpful.

Cheers for that, CR001 :)

Fair enough, then I'd just follow CR001's advice by saying something like "Husband" or "Wife" before a post to remove confusions.
Also I'd request mods here to look into why were you blacklisted if you haven't abused anyone.
