Citizenship - A Few Questions for Clarity

Post by AntoineA » Fri Jun 12, 2015 9:21 am

Dear all,

I am applying for English Citizenship Naturalisation AN and I obviously have to prove my level of knowledge of the english language. The list of requirement is rather confusing (Diploma / point based calculator / UK NARIC certification) but I believe my case is rather simple..

I have French undergrad qualifications but I have a Master Degree from Imperial College. Imperial College is an English university so do i still need to do the point based calculator or pay UK NARIC to certify that my english diploma was taught in english?

I was hoping that the original copy of my diploma was good enough, but I might be wrong!

Thanks for your kind help hopefully my question can be valuable for others too!

Master Degree from Imperial College
This will be sufficient and the degree certificate will be all that you need to submit.

Citizenship - A Few Questions for Clarity

Post by AntoineA » Tue Jun 16, 2015 5:59 pm

Dear all,

I will use a letter from my employer along with my P60s to prove that I have been in the UK for more than 5 years. However I was wondering if it was acceptable to have printed P60s (from pdf) instead of some sort of original?

Every thing is electronic these days with my employer so i basically dont own "proper" P60s original and I know than Home Office can be strict regarding copy/original so your advise will be very appreciated here!

Best to all of you

eP60s should work (especially in conjunction with a letter proving your employment) - I never had an employer who still issued paper P60s...If you wanna be a 100% on the safe side, you could maybe ask for them to be stamped by your employer.
