hi all,
I am new to this board my question is that I am a British citizen with 1 British child.my husband is a non EU and have a family visit visa for 5 years as now I have got the job meeting thresh hold of 18600 I want to apply for spouse visa for my husband as he will go back soon to apply.I am claiming housing benefit,child benefit and tax credits will it effect my husband spouse visa as I am meeting the threshold income with my yearly pay 19000

I am claiming everything own my own name as I am british and eligible to get these.anyone help plz I am waiting for reply

The child benefit and tax credits won't affect your husband' application, but the housing benefit will. The assumption is, that if you are earning over £18,600 you would have sufficient income to support your husband without claiming Public funds (benefits).

Claiming housing benefit won't adversely affect an Appendix FM application. Housing benefit can't be used as income. When your spouse joins the household, depending on his nationality, the housing benefit won't be increased as your spouse will have no recourse to public funds. You may have an issue putting him on the housing benefit application as really he shouldn't be on it but legally it has to be a couple claim. If he gets a job in the UK, his income will be added to your and will reduce housing benefit.

thanks for the reply.so I should stop claiming housing benefit and than apply for spouse visa

28 days validity issue

I recently started using this board and finding it very
useful.All the advisors are very helping.I have a question regarding spouse visa for my husband as he is here on visit visa can he do A1 English language test from here while he is here and what papers should be 28 days old for submitting spouse visa from his country.

nikah nama issue

Hi ALL
I am just in a process of applying for my husband visa i wanted to know that we only have nikah nama in urdu (original)and english translation do we need nadra computerised nikah nama with that as well and plus which documents should be 28 days valid before submitting thanks.
