Hi,

Im a Uk citizen. My spouse is a non EEA national. I would like to know, what is the minimum amount of payslips and bank statements I need to show as proof if im receiving carers allowance and want to apply for a spouse visa? Can I apply after I receive my first bank statement or is it best to wait for six months? I have been working part-time for two months now.

I live with my parents and I have received the letter confirming that there is enough room in our house.

Many Thanks

Hi Amber,

Many Thanks for your reply. I had another query I needed to ask. I am applying with Carers Allowance and a fixed term contract employment. In the employment letter if it is mentioned that I am on a fixed term contract, will it be a problem? I've heard that for it to be accepted the employment needs to be permanent, is this true? Apparently :) people on temporary employments get rejected. Also what else needs to be included in the employment letter? I earn around £700 p/m from a fixed term contract job and £62.10 per week from CA. Finally is the VAF1A form now have to be filled and sent in online? Please can you reply when you can.

Many Thanks.

Ive read the link you sent previously. Will Fixed term contracteemployment be accepted though? An advisor told me it wont be even though its written in the requirements link you've sent.

I am on a three month temporary contract. As the income is not guaranteed for long term this may be an issue I feel.

Immigration Directorate Instruction Family Migration: Appendix FM Section 1.7A Adequate Maintenance & Accommodation is what the DM will use to make a decision, so that is what you should follow.

I need some help please. I have today ceased my studies at University. I have not completed my third year and I have gained a DipHE. Will I qualify for carers allowance as I am no longer a student? Secondly, I am working part-time as a care & support worker for my father. I earn £96.00 per week. My father does his own PAYE and submits my pay through HMRC Webiste weekly. Will I be exempt from the financial rules? I have accommodation so this wont be a problem.

1.Will working for my father cause any issues?

Please reply.
