Since 1st January 1983, children born in the UK require one parent to be settled in the UK (have indefinite leave to remain) for the child to get British citizenship at birth. So, you can not claim British citizenship if you were born while your mother was on a visit visa.

Was your grandfather or grandmother born in the UK? And by "mamus", do you mean your mother's brothers?

Then you are not eligible for an Ancestry visa either. So, I'm afraid you will have to qualify for a British citizenship as any other non-EEA citizen (through either a work or study visa or by being the spouse of a British or EEA citizen) and do not have any special rights just because you were born here.

Did your mother have British citizenship or a right of abode in the UK when you were born?

Do you still have her passport from that time?

From earlier statements, it appears that his mother was an Indian citizen on a visit visa.

If your mother was given leave to enter the UK for a limited period, then you would have no claims to British citizenship via your mother.

What was your father's status?
