30 days. But by the time you inshallah get the visa it will be less than this depending how long it takes for them to send it and you to collect it.

Thank you Zoopla , I was hoping it would be 90 days because we'd like to do ruksati and need to make arrangement and that would take at least 4 to 6 weeks

Hello and Salaam to all,

I have been viewing this forum for a week or so and have decided to join :)

My timeline is below. I am coming up to 12 weeks since my wife applied for her Spouse visa in Islamabad.

I have sent 4 or 5 emails to request the status of our visa and I keep receiving the standard 'no updates' emails. The most recent email received was last Thursday (16/07/15). This was after they requested additional info in order to 'expedite the case'.

Does anybody know of any early May applications which are being/have been processed? Is it worth making a call when the offices re-open?

Many thanks

who can I contact to get this amended to a closer post office. No information on the letter

Thanks
How come they gave you a London post office? It should have been a post office close to your address as stated in the visa application.

From this document:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... eaflet.pdf

Can I collect my biometric residence
permit from a different Post Office
branch to one in my decision letter?

Yes. If you or a nominated party who has
been authorised by the Home Office to
collect your BRP on your behalf, wishes
to collect your BRP from a different branch to
the one in your decision letter, you or the
nominated party should go to the Post Office
branch from which you would like to collect
the permit and speak to a Post Office
employee. You will have to pay a fee
for each and every permit you wish to re-direct
to that branch. Not all branches offer the
collection service. Details of Post Office
locations offering the service and their
opening times can be found at:
http://www.postoffice.co.uk
Thank you ALKB for the information.

In the application form it did not ask me what office I would like to collect the BRP card from.
Maybe I filled in the online old application form saved it for a few months and submitted it in April.

But even then you would think they would have some sense to select a nearest post office to me.

Anyway I need to go to the post office when my wife arrives with the letter and passport and get it changed.
Which will cost another 24 pounds lol

W/salam bother Nasir,

To my knowledge, the ECO's will be in tomorrow and according to the Gerry's website they will also be open tomorrow. I hope someone on this forum will double confirm this.

Yes Gerrys and High Commission will both be open tomorrow, their holidays are listed in advance for the whole year, although Government of Pakistan has given an extra public holiday on Tuesday.

You should be getting a reply soon
Keep in mind they have been closed for eid so that's what has caused the delay

1/ if passport arrived in islamabad
2/ if the docs have been received in sheffield?

Dear Sajjaduk/Stillwaiting123,

I hope you both are well and that you had a good Eid. I was in the process of filling out Appendix 2 - Financial Requirement Form but little unsure about how to answer two points, your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

1.6 How often do you meet?

I got married in December last year and last saw my wife in January, As English is not my first language so I'm struggling to think of the correct term.

3.22 If your sponsor had not been employed by the same employer for 6 months prior to the application does their total income (before tax) from salaried employment received in the 12 months prior to your application meet or exceed the financial requirement you must meet? YES or NO

I have been employed with the same employer for 7 months and exceed the requirement but was self-employed with the same employer for 4 years before that and did not meet the £18,600 threshold....

I just cannot grasp the sentence

Thank you for your help

I was in a similar situation as you.

1. Write once a year or annually
2. Your employer has been employed by the same employer for 6 months or more so what i did was i left 3.22 blank and wrote your circumstances in more information.

Write the truth so if they interview you, you can state what is the truth.

This is what i did.
