Applying visa for Child born in India

Hello Everyone,

I am in process of gathering information to apply visa for my child (3 years old) born in India.

My current status in UK: British Citizen

My Wife Status in UK: on ILR

Note: When our child was born myself I'm on Tier 1 (General) Visa and my wife on Tier 1 (General) Dependant visa.

My question: In Visa4UK site, do I need to choose below visa category for my child online application?

Settlement - Settlement - Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person

Are mother and child both in the UK? You should be able to register the child as a British citizen under Section 3(1) on Form MN1.

If not, the choice that you have listed is correct.

Also, has the mother been outside the UK for more than two years? Her ILR may have lapsed.

Thanks for the reply Simon, as of now both my wife and child are in India.

I am glad, my choice is correct, otherwise I have to fill entire application again

No my wife left to India couple of weeks back to sort out my child visa, so no issue with ILR status.

Forgot to ask, so my child visa type is ILE.
Do we have to maintain funds for ILE application?
