Flr m section 4

Post by Yvy » Thu Jul 30, 2015 9:28 pm

Hi I'm just filling in this awful form with my South african husband and we have fallen at the first hurdle. I have 2 dependant children by my ex partner. They are not applying with him but I think we need to answer yes to question 4.3 "does you sponsor have any children living in the UK who's parent is not you" but then we would be required to fill in all sorts of unnecessary info about them such as "has your child visited other countries...since entering the UK"? which makes no sense as they are not "his" children and they were born here. Could we answer no to this as we could justify he is their step father, it leaves us open to question 4.6 is your partner financially responsible for supporting anyone else not listed in section 4.4?! I thought maybe we should leave section 4.4 o)and p) blank and any ideas what to put for r) do we put that we both are?

Any help on this would be so very gratefully recieved
Many thanks
Yvy

I'm not suggesting we lie by any means, we have no need to, I'm just completely confused by how they word the questions and I don't want to get it wrong. They put in 4.4 o) does your child live with you at the address provided in 1.20, which is not a question that even requires an address. The whole thing is very stressful and confusing and seems like it's designed to trip people up.

Maybe I was't able to comprehend the essence of the second statement (in blue) then!
