Hi,
I friend of mine is having an immigration dilemma. She was born in the UK while her parents were residents in there in November 1983 (few months after rule change). Since then her parents left to overseas and now she is a New Zealand citizen.
She moved to the UK a year ago on a YMS visa which is granted for under 30s Kiwis. Now her company is asking her whether she does need sponsorship or whether she being born in the UK will allow her different status to any (outside EU) foreigner.
She has checked the law and there seems to be an article on the fact that she does not need a Visa, but does need a permit to stay by the immigration. Can anyone please clarify?
Thanks for your help.
