I am on a Tier 2 Short Term ICT Visa and I am thinking of switching my Visa to Tier 2 General through Umbrella Companies.It is possible to do that?

You cannot be employed by an umbrella company on any Tier 2 visa category.

You would be subject to a 12 month cooling off period outside the UK before you change employers.

Thanks for the reply but due to new rules there is no cooling off for a short term ICT.if somebody MNC is willing to sponser me what bout that scenario.

Which new rules?
The rule that you are mistakenly referring to is relevant to someone applying for entry clearance as a Tier 2 (ICT - LT) migrant who has or last had entry clearance of leave to remain as Short Term staff, Graduate Trainee or Skills Transfer sub-categories, or under the
Rules in place before 6 April 2011.

But you are not applying for Tier 2 (ICT - LT) .... but looking to change to Tier 2 (General) with a new sponsor, right?

Thanks for the reply,Can you please tell me what are the scenario if you have got a Masters Degree from one of the reputed University in UK.I used to have to work permit Post Study Work Permit which I didn't utilize and got expired in 2013.Now I came on a ICT Short Term.Are the rules still the same if I have done my studies from United Kingdom?Please help me out in this.

Having studied in UK 4-5 years ago is irrelevant. That you were issued a Tier 1 (PSW) is also irrelevant.

So technically There is no way I can stay in Uk then?

Come back under a Tier 2 (ICT - LT) with the same employer. There's no cooling-off period involved, as I mentioned above.
I believe that's the only "quick" option .. or wait for 12 months to come back as a Tier 2 (General) migrant.

Hello,
I am getting extended for 6 more months and I think I will on a ICT Long Term Visa then but my project is finishing in 6 months that is the problem. So I was just thinking about a way I can stay and make a better career. Looks like its not possible as after ICT Long Term I have a serve a cooling period of 12 months.
