Imo

Surely this new rules will make things a lot more complex due over the applicant and the spouse

Where on the website
You've two options
Apply for your self
Apply for someone else

In most cases I reckon the spouse will apply for someone else IE HIS OTHER HALF wife or husband

So if the spouse "been in the UK apply for his or her partner surely he'll or she'll fill in pay the fees and book appointment and print out the application and rest of the email confirmation print out and appointment print and fill in the appendix form

So if he's or she's the spouse while in UK needs to send them stuff all the way to Pakistan with the main applicant weather it'll be wife or husband

Or if you go the route of apply for your self it's better in Pakistan fill in pay the fees get the print outs sign n date etc get the documents and nikah nama and others and English test tb etc and send all docs here and attend the appointment with passport and photos and give biometric? ??

Anyways so we need to send a prepaid envelope based on our weight of file?

So did you put a prepaid envelope folded inside an envelope? or do u get your one large envelope big enough to fit ur original file and just put it in a special delivery bag which would b easier?

Also do u just stick enough stamps on it or what?

Any covering note needed or would they understand its for that visa application??
Jee

Jee

just a a4 size plan white envelope with their Sheffield UK address and my UK address on back and a covering letter inside and with the SD parcel grey bag,,, with my name spouse and my wife name applicant and our day of births and also with our GWF number thingy on the covering letter.

Hope that helps

Thanks Hafsa&adilbanday,

Just to confirm, we go to the post office, ask them for prepaid envelope (recorded/special delivery/etc); put this in a white plain envelope with my address at the back and Sheffield address on the front. A covering letter mentioning sponsor name, applicant name, DOBs, GWF number & reason for sending the prepaid envelope? Is that it? If you can confirm, this would help a lot of people in the same situation as I am.

JazakAllah

As salaam alaikum

Brother and sister in Islam

With regards to the pre paid envelope

What you'll need an empty white/Brown standard size envelope (a4) with the Sheffield UK address on front and on the back of envelope your UK address (also name first)
Send this at least record first second class (just to be on the safe side)

Once your got this get the special delivery next day 1 pm service bag (grey) supply at local post office

And than weight on their scale at latest 1 kgs of papers etc to calculate the pre paid postage you will need to add on the BAG

Some times it could be more stuff depending on case and what people has attracted to their file.

They than stick on stamps in pounds value of so and so 8 9 10 pounds whatever is reasonable.

Make sure you have a covering letter stating the names of wife and yours in full and date of birth and GWF application number !!!! Must

Royal Mail SPECIAL DELIVERY envelopes don't need to be stamped. Prepaid means postage is already paid.
TIMELINE

Spouse Visa (Entry Clearance) granted on 20-02-15
FLR-M (Extension) granted on 24-08-17
ILR (SET-M) not due until 2020

You are confusing yourself here

its for those silver/grey Royal Mail Special Delivey bags that firms use for sending stuff.

They're labelled SP next day 1pm

If this bag/envelop is sent to an address without pre paid postage it's pointless.

It needs postage paid on it to be send back to the original sender.

Hope that help.

Prepaid means prepaid, there's nothing more to it. You failed to understand my point about them being prepaid.

Anyways, there's nothing to debate, just walk into any post office and ask for a prepaid special delivery envelope/bag. Give them the weight/size you require, pay for it and that's it.

I don't know why everyone is making a big issue

Go to a post office

Send documents special delivery to Sheffield in envelope/bubble paper, box bag what ever u fancy

Then get the exact same thing u sent it in but with your address on it and include it in your documents

The end. Wasn't hard

@aadi90

Your docs are spot on ...
As mentioned by few other I assume you may have just forgot to put down appendix 2
Just agreeing with what's already mentioned
Appendix 2 is a must
Good luck and may Allah swt give you success on your application
P.s thanks for asking about my health
Glad someone remembered

@sajjaduk

My application status says (after escalation) "As per our records this application is in ECO's queue for assessment"

What does this mean? any idea how long does it approximately takes after this ?

I have not given a call to UKVI, you suggest I should, since I am approaching my 90th day ?

Hope your health is fine now. Appreciate your response.

Thanks

And it means as it says ... it's with the eco waiting to be looked at so average turnaround is within a week you should hear or get a update of some sort of your application being processed
