Child born in india to parent on ILR - 1 parent ILR 5 year route, mother on partner visa

Can the child born in India apply for British Passport like child born in UK would if one parent have ILR
or do they have to go the dependent route and wait 5 years before getting ILR

2. Assuming "partner visa" to be "PBS dependant leave", then - Entry clearance as PBS dependant. ILR when other parent becomes eligible for ILR.

Just to clarify, the child's status will be inline with that of the less privileged parent all the way through till citizenship.

If you had the child in the UK, she would have been British by birth and entitled to a British passport straightaway.
