I am new to the forum, and am in need of some advice/comfort. Me(UK) and my husband (USA) have been married for 3 years and now are staying in dublin ireland. I been waiting 7 weeks for a response from my husbands EU1 application. We sent it out in June, the only thing that was missing was my tax certificate which I have now. I emailed them 2 times about an update and got two responses:
1st response
Due to the volume of applications on hand, it may take 8 weeks from the
date of receipt before a response is issued from this office. Once your
documents have been processed, they will be returned to you and any
outstanding documents will be requested.
2nd response:
Your application was received in this office on 26/06/2015
Applications are processed in chronological order. Due to the volume of
applications on hand, it may take 3-5 weeks before a response is issued
from this office. Once your documents have been processed, they will be
returned to you and any outstanding documents will be requested.
Is emailing them useless? Should I contact solvit? This would mean I would have waited 12 weeks in total to get my documents back and an acknowledgement letter. I am so mad right now, i feel like they arent taking any of this serious. I been reading post on this forum and it seems that people are getting there acknowledgement letters sooner then 8 weeks. This is just ridiculous!!!! If anyone would give me some advice I would totally appreciate it. Sorry if it seems like I am ranting, just so frustrating
