Arriving this Tuesday.

Post by wannago » Sun Sep 20, 2015 11:29 pm

HI all.I`m a British citizen married to a Brazilian and we have 2 kids both born in Brazil.I am currently in Ireland, and my wife and kids are arriving here on Tuesday.I came to Ireland a couple of weeks ago and have rented an apartment, and am currently looking for a job.On Tuesday my family fly to Amsterdam from Rio de Janeiro, and I will be there to meet them, then we all fly into Dublin.
What can we expect at border control, could there be any problems, and what do we say. Also what directive should I print out?

Nothing, they will ask for the purpose of visit, tell them you live in Dublin and ur family is joining u, they might as for ur house address and whether u work.
Am guessing Brazilians don't need visa to Dublin. In that case u don't have to print anything. Showing up together at the airport is Enuff.

No don't worry they won't ask many questions, I hope they just ask for the purpose of the travel.
Best of Luck.
Stay blessed

HI just a quick update.Passed through with no problem at all.Went up to the desk and I had my passport (UK) and my wife and kids passports (Brazilian). The official looked at mine and give me it back, then looked at my daughters, sadi her name and I said this is her,and he stamped it.Looked at my other daughters and stamped it,and then looked at my wifes. He flicked through it and said do you not have a residence card or anything,I said not yet and he stamped it,and gave us all the passports back. When we went to go he even said thank you in Portuguese to my wife.
