You can see from forum it's currently taking some time (weeks/months) so why not shoot for the sooner the better.robsters wrote:we arrived into uk from ireland with EEA FP going to apply for uk residence does it matter when you apply ? sooner better? also we never got full card in ireland we left with my wife still on 6 month temp card in ireland does that matter? are we likely to still get full irish card if we do should we go back for it? we've redirected our mail
(we lived and worked in ireland for 6-7 months)
also is getting UK residence card fairly straight forward? advice please
thank you!!
I was attempting to ascertain whether Robster has any documentation proving lodgings. A 'lodger' is generally someone who lives with the landlord in their own home and Robster has already mentioned that there was no contract. 'Shared accommodation' tenants however, should be issued with a tenancy agreement.adedayoh wrote:Hey Robster,
I don't think the lodging should be an issue, getting a house in Dublin is a bit of an issue and living in shared Accomodation is a common practice.
My husbands reply date is 3 weeks overdue now. We intend to leave by the of the month, with or without the 5yrs.
Hopefully they can contact my employer this week, I got an email from inis asking for my employers number again even though I gave it to them before.
Am sure all the documents u have will suffice, it's abit extreme with the receipt tho lol.
Casa wrote:The 'lodgings' may be a sticky point if the case worker considers you chose to only take temporary accommodation instead of a lease on a property. A forum member was refused recently after the HO called the landlord and was told (incorrectly as it happens) that the couple had specifically asked for a rental of only 3 months. You may want to be prepared to cover yourselves should the issue of lodgings comes up. Do you have any documentation at all for this?
cool yeah its good to know your options so a baby born in britain would strength my wife case to remain then? also what is under FLR(FP)??Casa wrote:Seek further advice on this, but if you're refused under Surinder Singh (although I'm not suggesting you will be), it would be worth considering applying under FLR(FP) from within the UK once your baby is born.
Yes your wife would have a stronger case, but do bear in mind this is only a suggestion should you not succeed with the SS application. Here's a link to the guidance to give you a better idea.robsters wrote:cool yeah its good to know your options so a baby born in britain would strength my wife case to remain then? also what is under FLR(FP)??Casa wrote:Seek further advice on this, but if you're refused under Surinder Singh (although I'm not suggesting you will be), it would be worth considering applying under FLR(FP) from within the UK once your baby is born.
