Here is the appropriate info to help answer the question:
- Of French nationality, I lived in the UK for 17 years
- Six years after having settled in the UK i started applying for citizenship, got "Indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom" but did not finish the process of naturalisation after that.
- 11 years after my settling in the UK, I married a British citizen, born in the UK of British parents. Our marriage was in the UK.
- A year later we had a daughter born in the UK who is therefore of British and French Nationality (she has both passports)
- we were married for 3 years. I still use his name as is authorized by British law. My ex husband died in France 10 years ago.
- I graduaded in the UK from Oxford Brookes University in Psychology and Literature and worked in the UK for about 13 years in total -- so i think i would not need to take the test?
So, with these facts in mind, ie unfinished application after getting the "indefinite leave to stay", life in the UK for 17 consecutive years, being married to a British citizen, do you think i would be entitled to be naturalized now, given also that at the moment i'm living in France ??
Many thanks indeed,
Kind regards
