You can't. But why would you care?mattgrange wrote:As a British passport holder how can I find out what information the immigration officer can see about me when they swipe my passoport when coming through immigration in a US airport?
Thanks
well why ask usmattgrange wrote:I care because last time I entered the US, the immigration officer told me it would be the last time I would be allowed in, and that he was putting a note of that on my 'account' or whatever it is.
Think that's likely??
I did! I was asking if it's likely he made a note of it on their computer system, is that a normal thing to do?SYH wrote:well why ask usmattgrange wrote:I care because last time I entered the US, the immigration officer told me it would be the last time I would be allowed in, and that he was putting a note of that on my 'account' or whatever it is.

Why didn't you ask the io what it was all about?
And why would he have told you that?mattgrange wrote:I care because last time I entered the US, the immigration officer told me it would be the last time I would be allowed in, and that he was putting a note of that on my 'account' or whatever it is.

It really depends on what happened. Did you overstay? If so, then they will probably know the next time you enter the US. Getting a new passport wouldn't change anything. They will have a record with your name, place and date of birth.mattgrange wrote:I care because last time I entered the US, the immigration officer told me it would be the last time I would be allowed in, and that he was putting a note of that on my 'account' or whatever it is.
