Dependent visa Sole Representative of an Overseas Business

Post by emmadewhirst » Mon Oct 05, 2015 3:32 pm

Hello,
I have gained a visa for "Sole Representative of an Overseas Business" (non-points based visa) and my Fiancee has been granted "ACC Partner" but the endorsements say "no work" "no business" and "no recourse to public funds"

I believe that there has been a mistake made based on the following endorsement link which states that Partners of sole representatives should have "Code 1" which is "No recourse to public funds".

Dependents in this piece of legislation also states that they should be given "code 1"

We are now in the UK, picked up our BRP a week ago which confirmed this. We have tried to contact UK immigration by phone and tried to get an administrative review, of which we were originally told we were not able to do because we weren't in the UK (which we are).

I have also spoken to a couple of immigration solicitors who have stated they can't help us because a dependent of this visa type should be able to work.

Can anybody help? I just want to know what we can do to remedy the situation, is there anyone that we can speak to? anyone experienced the same thing? HELP! :)
