Join family settled in UK, applying in India

Post by rbsjp » Sun Oct 11, 2015 10:53 am

If a family of settled person applies for entry clearance, how long they have to enter UK after visa is granted? Is it 30 days? Is the BRP card then collected in UK? How long does it take for the BRP card to arrive?

Thanks for the reply. The Biometrics were submitted at VFS centre in India while applying for visa. So it has to be done again?

I'll let others respond to this, as my understanding was that all Biometrics would be taken in the UK after entry. However, I see that the VFS website is still showing biometrics being taken at the application centre.

@Casa, my understanding is that it is the BRP card that is collected from Post Office within 10 days of entry within 30 days per the vignette.
