Spouse Visa Advice - Payslip or Tax Returns??

Post by Praveena1 » Tue Oct 20, 2015 10:31 am

Hell Friends,

I am a British Citizen by naturalisation, and my wife is planning to apply for settlement from India to join me here in UK. She is planning to apply in November of this year

I have been self-employed in the construction industry for years and have earned more than 18600 for the past few years. Since June of this year I am working as PAYE.

With regard to showing earnings, I have a few questions.

1. Do I just show tax returns and letter from the accountant for years of 2013-14 & and 2014-15?
2. Or Do I need to show the payslips from June 2015?

I can provide both of them, but which one do they use to calculate my earnings, as from April to June, I have been self-employed as well.

I will be providing my bank statments as well.

Please advise.

Thanks

Go for Category A. Ignore the self employment period for the application - it will simplify the paperwork required for you. As long as you have six months of pay slips.
