Applying for ILR without meeting the residency req.

Post by genzoman » Tue Oct 20, 2015 1:10 pm

Hi,
After obtaining the spouse visa for 2.5 years, what will happen if we both live TOGETHER outside UK at these 2.5 years or at its majority?
Can we extend the visa to meet the minimum residency?
OR
will the visa be voided and we shall apply for a new one all over again showing the financial req. and etc?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP...

You can extend the visa if you are IN the UK. If you are OUTSIDE the UK, then it is a new visa. For both, you need to meet all the same requirements again.

You will still need 5 years residence to qualify for ILR, 5 years being the minimum.
