Australian Visa Overstayer to Migrate To Canada

Hello,

I have five years IT experience working in Australia. Two years working as Computer Technician, two years working as Technical Support Personnel (one year as Team Support Leader) and a year working as Software Quality Assurance Officer. I have also completed a Network Engineering Diploma in an Australian TAFE college and Bachelor of IT degree in an Australian University.

I intend to migrate to Canada as a skilled IT migrant.

Unfortunately my Sponsored Working Visa has already expired 2006. And therefore I am effectively an illegal immigrant. And yes I am still working here in Australia working as such in a prestigious IT company.

Could anybody please tell me if I have a chance of migrating to Canada? My native country is the Philippines. Should I apply here in Australia or should I return to Philippines? If I return to the Philippines will my overstay in Australia under Sponsored Working Visa affect my application as a skilled migrant in Canada?

I would appreciate any reply. Thank you in advance.

Note: I am planning to speak and pay any Immigration Officers. I found one here in Australia but I would greatly appreciate if anyone could clear this first inquiry. I thank you again for your time.

Australia has very strange immigration laws and practices.

DIMIA raids, detain and deport illegal immigrants who work on CASH ON HAND basis, or working without paying work taxes. But DIMIA seems indifferent to any illegal immigrants who work on professional sector that are taxed heavily like any Australian citizen. Even if these illegal immigrants pay their normal due and contributes to the Australian community DIMIA would NOT provide illegal immigrants fair VISA regulations and therefore left in the GRAY area of illegal immigration.

I find this very pretentious. I work like any Australian, I get ignored by DIMIA even though I am illegal but I dont get any residency benefits like health and pension even though I contribute to them.

This is why I want to get out of this country. Australians are dearly beloved by nature and that will not change - cannot be changed - UNLESS LABOR WINS THIS ELECTION. A mandarin speaking prime minister would definitely be open for any immigration issues - legal or not.

Anyway... could anyone with the right expertise tell me whether I have a chance to migrate to Canada or UK so I could better lend my work experience and expertise to a country that would allow me to start a family.
