@sal29 - One of the reasons for refusal on mine was that this letter was more than 28 days old. If everything else is perfect it might not matter too much as my brother's was like this and his was about 2 months old.

Does the letter of employment also have to be less than 28 days old when submitting or can it be a couple of months old?

No it has to be within 28days or it will be a straight refusal

salaam - does anyone know if an appeal is successful, how long before they send the call letter?

also - sajjaduk - have you still not had a decision yet?

If it is successful u should know by the 8th week of your deadline if not then its court

And sajjaduk has not heard yet and his 24 weeks r up....

i wanted to know also that I get paid monthly by cheque
it is all showing in the statements
but I made one error I attached all cheque photocopies togather but only one month
photocopy is missing
but I epalined that in the cover letter as to be honest I forgot to take a copy
but its all valid in the staments
hope really hope it ok
do any one else get paid by cheques who have applied

Hi. Yes we applied on 16/07/15, bio on 28/07/15. Received email on 13/10/2015 that application is not straightforward. Nothing since. This is now week 13 since bio!!!

Documents sent: 20th August
1st Escalation: 06th October-in progress
2nd Escalation: 16th October- still in progress
3rd Escalation: 22nd October-no current updates
4th Escalation: 26th Ocotber-processed

Does anyone know how long does It take to get an official email?

Nope Mentor - heard NOTHING!!!!

Im a bit fed up, over 2 weeks since they processed as we emailed on 12th but nothing official, its going to be 14th weeks tomorrow.

and aug ppl are getting it soon and we have no documents back either,

I got papers back after visa was granted. Dont you just want to send someone to VAC to check if passports been returned ???

If I don't hear anything tomorrow that is what I am going to do! We are about an hour and 15mins away (attock) so not a major travel. Just going to be very annoying if nothings there. But oh well, only one way to find out..

In shaa Allah its not a wasted trip and your passport is there ready for you but you'll only find out if you go

I went to Islamabad vac.

So, I should wait for at least 7-10 working days before official email from them.

Yes we also plan to go , well hubby will, he is around 2 and half hours away so thats the only thing if he goes, wasted trip. which VAC are you mentor?

Not heard anything yet. Processed email last week. Today my 60 days are up. I'm not sure whether to escalate again or wait for an email...just want it over and done with now!
