"Financial requirement" and the savings route

Hi,

I'm a bit confused.

I was just reading the Appendix FM 1.7: Financial Requirement (August 2015) and was reading the section entitled " Who needs to meet the financial requirement?"

From what I understand, the "financial requirement" is the £18,600. So does this mean that APPENDIX 2 (VAF 4A) only needs to be completed by those going the NON savings route?

In which case, anyone who is taking the £62,500 savings route does not need to complete the APPENDIX 2 (VAF 4A) form? Which means we would fall in the category of "Non financial requirement" as shown on the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... lement.pdf ?

If so, is there another appendix we need to be filling in? Or is it just the application form we fill in without any other appendix?

You must complete and submit Appendix 2! You are meeting the financial requirement through savings.

You have to submit appendix 2, your visa application will be refused if you don't. You still have to meet the financial requirements, just put it down as meeting it through savings.
