What now?

Post by wannago » Tue Nov 03, 2015 8:21 am

HI everyone.I am a British citizen living in Ireland from the 8 September,my wife and kids are Brazilian and they joined me here on 22 September.
I have my PPS number and we are renting an apartment, and I have just secured a job which starts tomorrow.
What would be the next step of our process, does my wife need to register with the Guards now? if so which documents are required?
Also, when should my wife and kids apply for their PPS numbers, and what documents are required to obtain these?
Thanks in advance.

You can't just register with Garda, you need to apply for the EU1 for your wife and kid and the INIS will send you a letter to take garda for temporary permission to stay until they process your application.

PPS number is not compulsory but if you want to get one, you need to bring passport/ ID, utility bill and job offer letter to the social welfare office and they will give you an appointment. I think they newly requesting us to get job offer letter, people said last year we didn't need a job offer letter.
Stay blessed
