Spouse visa extension HSMP - Tier 1 - ILR - British Citizen

My wife had the below visa categories before she became a British Citizen:
HSMP --> Tier 1 ---> ILR ---> British Citizen.

I had got the spouse visa when she had ILR. My visa is expiring in March and I need to apply for an extension. As an answer to my another question on this at http://www.immigrationboards.com/immigr ... l#p1249145, I was suggested to apply for FLR (M).

But, as per the exception "your partner originally had a temporary visa as a worker" listed on https://www.gov.uk/remain-in-uk-family, I will need to apply as Dependent of a Tier 1 General (https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-general/family-members).

So, I think I need to apply for Tier 1 General Dependent and not as FLR(M) as suggested in the other thread.

I would be grateful if someone can please clarify.

If you came to the UK on a spouse visa after your wife got ILR (if you used form VAF4A), then you can only apply for an extension on FLR(M).

Is your current visa a Tier 1 Dependent or did you only apply for a spouse visa AFTER she got ILR?

Yes, I used VAF4.

Is your current visa a Tier 1 Dependent or did you only apply for a spouse visa AFTER she got ILR?

I applied after she got ILR. My visa says "Spouse/CP of Julie".

Please could you refer me to the Gov.uk policy page which says if I had applied as dependent of ILR then I have to apply as FLR (M)?

Also, please could you tell me why exception "your partner originally had a temporary visa as a worker" on https://www.gov.uk/remain-in-uk-family is not applicable to me?
