What visa should I apply for my partner

Post by yasirkk » Sun Sep 13, 2015 8:27 pm

I got ILR through long residency (10 year) process. My partner is still on Tier 1 general dependent visa (my previous one) she entered UK in 2008 as my dependent and has lived continuously in UK since then as my dependent. What visa should I apply for her now. ??

FLR (M). Financial requirement needs to be met.

This 'resets' her clock to ILR for 5 years, but she may be eligible in her own right for Long Residence in 2018.

The NHS surcharge of £500 will also have to be paid online before submitting the application.

Is there any particular reason that you're posting 'good luck' in multiple threads?

Boosting their posts past 10 so that they can use PM function? I usually delete silly multiple postings such as these.

I guess so. I admit I was tempted to delete.

No, unfortunately there isn't anyway to save her from the clock resetting for ILR. If you had asked the question before applying for long residence ILR, you would have been advised it was better to apply through Tier 1 G for your dependent as she would have qualified at the same time as you.

Post by yasirkk » Wed Nov 11, 2015 1:36 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have got indefinite leave to remain in uk via long residence process. My three children were born in england and have got their naturalisation done. However, my wife still is on my dependent visa as she have not completed her long residence in uk. she have hot her appointment with the home office next week. She will be applying through FLR (M) under spouse of a settelment person category. I am just wondering what income would I have to show there ? I am employed and earn 22k per annum. Can anyone please iluminate ?
