Does HO respond to email query on application status?

I sent an email asking about my application status yesterday, but haven't received any response from HO till now. Tried calling them, but the number is always busy. I am wondering if I am making a mistake in the calling sequence of the number. Can anyone tell me what is the dialing sequence from India?

App sent on 09/Nov/07
App recieved on 13/Nov/07
Payment debited on CC 13/Nov/07
Ref. number received on 14/Nov/07
