If the child is born in India eligible for British Citizen .. if yes what is the duration and documents required .

The child, born abroad, will be British by descent.

You have two options and both take >6 months!
1. British passport + exit visa/OCI;
or
2. Indian passport + CoE RoA;
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

As Vinny has mentioned, technically a British citizen can not apply for a visa to come to the UK.

But you can apply for an Indian passport and then a CoE-RoA. The CoE-RoA takes between six and sixteen weeks to be issued.
