photo and signature photo upload for OCI

Hi everyone,
From the 23rd of November onward the OCI application requires for uploading of all documents including photograph and a photograph of the signature as well. There are specifications for the photos in terms of pixels and kb and I am unsure as to how I am supposed to be doing this. For the signature photograph should I sign on a blank paper, scan, adjust the size using photoshop and then attach? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
