ILR FOR KIDS

Hi friends,

im british passport holder just a month ago my wife ,and 7 and 4 years old kids came from india holding 3 years BRP.one of my friend advice me, can apply ILR for my kids only now is it true? can i apply now?

if i can apply means please some one guide me step by step it will be more helpful for me . really im waiting for your kind replys

No, your 'friend' is wrong. Children will need to continue on the visas they have in line with their mother and they will qualify for ILR when she does after 5 years residency.

Were you British BEFORE the children were born?

No . just i got british citizen just two years ago only

If children born in the UK, register them on Form MN1 under Section 1(3).

If children born overseas, they will have the same status as that of the less-privileged parent.

The children will have to follow the same route as their mother if they were born in India. There is no shortcut or easier route.
