Spouse visa extension

Post by Mahe123 » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:21 pm

Hi All,

My Spouse visa finishing in next month. I am living in the UK for last nine years. 6.5 years on student visa and PSW then 2.5 years on the spouse visa. My Wife is from UK. Can i apply for the permanent residence or do i need to renew my Spouse visa and apply after 5 years?

Thanks very much

You need to apply for another FLR(M) extension of 2.5 years before qualifying for ILR. You will have to pay the NHS surcharge of £500 online before submitting your application, in addition to the visa fee.

You need to extend spouse visa and wait until you've done 5 years as a spouse. Or do that and apply again under 10 year rule when you've amassed 10 years, i.e. in a year.

Hi my husbands spouse visa is going to expire in a couple of weeks. I was employed by a company up until April this year and then I became self employed. On the form it asks if I'm self employed which I am now but then it asks how much I earned from self employment in the last financial year but then I was employed, so what do I write? Also what duration of bank statements need to be sent of with the form?

A letter on company headed paper, confirming your employment and salary.

Thanks for the info.

I am planning to go to counter to get the visa on the day. Could you please tell me about following ? thanks

When is the earliest I can apply?
Do I need to take my wife with me to the appointment(m salary will cover the financial requirement)?
How long do I need my bank statements?(i.e. 6 months?)
How long do I need my payslips?( i.e. 6 months?)
I have a joint mortgage do I need a letter from the bank to prove this or just the bank statement is fine?
Do I need to fill the application form online to make an appointment or can I print the application and fill it?

Thanks very much for the help

My Spouse visa is up for extension.

I am wondering how early I can apply for or as it got to be within a certain time frame. Ideally I would like to apply between 2-1 months before it runs out via the one day service.

Also, when I apply for it do all the bank statements etc have to be less than 28 days old.
regards.

Please someone help with the following queries. I got my appointment next Monday. while I am filling my FLR(M) form for extension of my current spouse visa from the UK what should I answer for following questions.

2.1 Please tick a box below to show us the category in which you are applying for an extension of stay in the UK and to confirm that you are also applying for a biometric immigration document.

Spouse of a person present and settled in the UK and a biometric immigration document --- ( Tick)

2.2 Is this the first time you have applied for a visa or extension of stay in one of the above categories (including previous leave granted as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner) with your current sponsor? -- ( I have ticked YES )

This is really confusing anyone can guide me would be great :

2.3 Please indicate what stage of extension of leave you are applying for or why you are choosing to extend your current leave in one of the above categories.

a) First period of leave to remain (following an initial period of entry clearance as a partner of a settled person, or following an initial period of entry clearance as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner of a settled person - 6 months)

b) Second period of leave to remain (following initial grant of leave to remain).

c) You are making a first application from within the UK but have not previously had leave to enter/remain as a partner.
Or
You delayed your travel to the UK by more than 3 months after the issue of a visa, and have not yet completed the relevant period of time in one of the categories at question 2.1

d) You require further leave to remain to obtain the relevant qualifications to meet the Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK (KoLL) requirements to apply for indefinite leave to remain.

e) You were granted entry as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner, but have not yet married or entered into a civil partnership. Please explain why in the box below and state when your marriage or civil partnership will take place.

Please help me with this

Thanks a lot
