Recently renounced British citizenship (I now am an Irish citizen only) and I am planning to being my non EEA spouse to the UK.
I have a few questions.
1. I do not want to send my passport in the post as part of the Visa application, so I can send a 'Certified copy' Would that be a case of copying the main passport page + getting a solicitor to sign it to confirm its authenticity? - Could I then scan this and send it?
2. My other documentation - Do I have to send original copies of my letters from employer or my original rencounciation cert? The website only seems to suggest that the passport copy be authenticated
3. I have changed job, I literally just started a new job but I have kept the payslips and aquired a letter from my previous employer, I also have my p45 and p60 - I worked there for 2 years. For my new job I am on a three month contract which will either be renewed or moved to a permanent postion in 3 months time, I will get a letter from the latest employer also and I have the contract details from the outside agency. - Do you think this will be a problem? i.e. the new job and fact that it appears to be a short term contract?
4. I have been applying for the Visa on my spouses behalf, through Visa4UK (which is a terrible website) has anyone else done this? Would I be better just having her apply herself?
Sorry for all the questions. Thank you for your time.
