Hi, I'm new around here. I'm an American, my partner is British. We want to move to the UK after we marry but I'm concerned about potentially being refused entry due to my being disabled due to Bipolar Disorder. I have been on SSDI in the US for almost 15 years. I am fully compliant with treatment and have no criminal history.
My partner is a professional earning well above the income requirements for sponsoring a spouse and he thinks that will be enough for me to get a VISA.
Can anyone advise on what we might expect? Will I automatically fail the medical exam because of my history of mental illness?
TIA,
Kate
