Intransit or Visitor Visa

Post by mayankpant » Wed Dec 30, 2015 3:19 pm

Hi
My friend is travelling to US and wants to take a 3-4 day halt in UK to visit and see London.

I guess he'll need to take a visitor visa, right?

Also incase he applies for a visitor visa, what is the general norm - Are there chances of him getting it for a year(or more) , multiple entry or would they just give him for four days based on his itinerary?

Appreciate any answers....

Regards,
Mayank

6 months max but be wary of 'genuine visitor' - 2/3 weeks is fine, the full 6 months and questions will be asked...

Std UK visit visa is a multi valid for 183 days but be wary of the above.
