Spouse Visa Jan 2017 - Planning

Post by Onkarsingh1991 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 2:31 pm

i have been engaged since November 2014. i will be marrying in December 2016 and i want m to come back with me to London asap as we will go on honeymoon to Maldives from uk in around march 2016.

i have full paperwork and pictures of relationship. i have been traveling to india since 2013 when i first met my fiancée

please post any updates

would the ECO believe its a real marriage from looking at the marriage certificate and previous photos of time together or would they want to see a big Indian wedding

if i submit my paperwork in 1st week of Jan 2017 after my big indian wedding will i get answer by end of feb, i will be submitting docs at Mumbai north as it has quicker processing times

another option is to to submit from Singapore as they have a priority service for settlement visas, but is this allowed ?

Your future spouse can only apply for a spouse settlement visa in a country where they have legal residence, so no you can't apply from Singapore unless your future spouse lives there.

You are asking questions about process in a years time. We cannot guess what will be changed/introduced by HO in the next year. Suggest you do some research and come back nearer the time to ask questions.

You also don't state what your immigration status is?

For a start, your future wife will need to meet the English A1 language requirement and YOU will have to meet the £18,600pa financial requirement.

Your salary will meet the financial requirement (as the rules stand now).
