Alas, not much of an update. Last week's processing time for New Delhi was 26-30 days, this week they don't give the numbers for Delhi, only Chennai - 7 (sic) working days. Our application has been keeping them entertained for 43 days so far.

6 October 2015 - Online application
13 October - Documents submitted in Ahmedabad office
24 November - Email from UKVI requesting additional information
26 November - Additional information sent by email
1 December - Web form status enquiry; answer: Escalated to the relevant department
8 December - Web form status enquiry; answer: Delayed for further checks
18 December - Web form status enquiry; answer: In progress

Did you ask for a update or was it sent to you? With mine I contacted UKVI, I haven't heard a thing from the home office tho. When did you find out it was delayed? Where did you apply?

Timeline so far. Updates were requested with the web form.
Meanwhile, VFS has published this week's service stats. Settlement in New Delhi is 26-30 days; for us it was 38 today

Hi everyone,

As my previous post I received email back in 30th November for my wife's visa application from Pakistan. I made application at vfs Karachi online on 7-October n biometric on 10th October. I send supporting documents on 15 oct posted to ukvi Sheffield from London.
My query is mule it's been almost 3 months and I haven't received any decision should u contact vfs for expedition of my application or wait for more days.

I am in the similar boat. I have submitted my wife application on 23rd Dec in Hyderabad and we have received email today saying your application has been processed and despatched. I cant beleive they made decision with in 15 working days. Hopefull it is good one.

I know it is excellent. Though I did see that Chennai processing stats have improved to 100% processed in 30 days as of Nov 2015. Just hope the outcome is desirable.

Hello everyone, My wife submitted her application from Pune India on 27th Jan and it was sent same day to BHC.

The applicant needs to travel to the UK within that month and collect their BRP card within 10 days, at their designated post office, of arriving in the UK. The BRP card will have the correct validity.

Sorry to hear that.

Just read your other posts. I had the same situation as well. In fact every limited company director will have the same situation for the first year. No banks will open business accounts on the same day. In my case my company was started on 27th August 14. my business bank account was only opened in October. In my case I had taken salary for both August and September and credited to my account in October. I have also mentioned in cover letter that My business account was only opened in October hence I have paid august and september salaries in October. For me you should go for appeal as you don't need to submit any additional documents and you cant as well. It is just the matter of conveying them you have opened your account late. Also somewhere in their guidelines they said HO will contact you for any missing document like only if one bank statement in series is missing. But I am not an expert to suggest do what is best for you. Anyways applications are processed quickly these days. Mine only took 10 working days.

Hi Guys. I don't think its looking good for me

Here's our story

Online Application: 7/1/2016
Biometrics: 13/1/2016 at Mumbai South
18/1/2016: arrived to High Commision Delhi (Why?? I also had to contact them as to whether they had recieved it or not as no email was sent). They've not even sent me any emails even though we've asked for updates. It's always been us contacting them.
18/1/2016: Told Passport had to me renewed as my husband's photo was of poor quality. Given deadline of 20/02/2016 otherwise decision would be made using evidence given.
2/1/2016: Husband took his renewed passport to VFS Mumbai south. I assumed it was sent to the Delhi High Commision.
7/1/2016: Contacted them via email and got the standard Visa is being processed.
9/1/2016: Asked whether they recieved passport...said Visa application had been 'delayed' (8pm) so husband rang in the morning and was told a decision had been made (6am) and it would been sent to him in the next few days.
13/1/2016: Saw that husbands NHS surcharge had been refunded on my bank statement (Thanks for giving me a shock VFS!!) which can only mean one thing that it was REJECTED. I've checked my statement and no way have I paid twice.

I emailed them on Friday to say why cant we track our application in the post on blue dart and they said 'With regards to your query, Please be advised not to completely rely on the
online tracking as you have already been notified that you will receive you
documents in the next few days .'

I honestly feel they've rushed their decision without looking at things properly perhaps. Why would they ask to renew his passport for poor photo quality? Why not just look at everything there and then and reject it on the 18/01/16 and send the whole application? I can't even express what I want to explain properly because I am so mad....

Any advice guys? Our file was handed to an immigration lawyer who checked everything with his colleague. All 3 of us checked everything was correct again and again before we sent it. I'm not sure why they would reject it. I would be really grateful for your input or advice. I'm just thinking of putting in a new application rather than waiting a long time for an appeal to go through. Me and my husband are just waiting to be told when we can collect the file and passport.

Online application for Spouse settlement visa : 25th Jan, 2016
VFS appointment at Hyderabad: 4th Feb, 2016
Application recieved at BHC CHennai: 5th Feb, 2016
Contacted UKVI on 12th Feb, 2016. They said the application has not yet been assessed by ECO.
Waiting....

I however have a doubt about my application. I have filled the date of my intended travel as 15 March, 2016 in the application. Does that mean that BHC will grant me visa that is valid from 15th March, 2016?

People who have recently got their visas... can you please confirm this?

If your application is approved before 15th March
then you will receive visa from 15th March to
14th April. If it is processed after 15th March
then it will be issued from the processed date to +1 month.
