register children born in UK but living outside

Post by Sivaraj » Fri Jan 15, 2016 11:06 am

Hi,

I am planning get my UK born son registered as British citizen next month after I get ILR. He is currently living in abroad with my parents. Can you please confirm whether his application can be submitted in UK via NCS or postal and then submit biometrics of the child in abroad?

If so will home office or NCS accept photo copies of child's passport?

What are the documents required to be submitted when applied in UK or from abroad?

While I am not aware of the child registration abroad process, be aware that getting a British passport for the child abroad can take between six months and a year.
