10 Years Long Residence - Complicated

Post by Abido » Mon Jan 04, 2016 9:10 pm

Hi everyone,

I have have a same day appointment at Croydon next
Week. I have been in UK for 10 years now.
Since 2005. 2005 to 2008 student visa, 2008 to
2009 IGS. Oct 2009 my pbs application was
Refused as my account didnt show a balance of
800pounds for 2 days. I appealed within 10
Working days. My appeal was not heard until
May2010. Appeal was refused as well and I was
Given 28 days to go to a high Court or out of UK.
I made an application to the high Court. During
this period - I submitted a fresh application to The
HO and this was granted, I subsequently withdrew
my case at the high Court.
My question is: towards my 10 years legal stay
in the UK - how will I evidence the period of my refusal
And appeal? As far as I know my status when I
applied before the refusal is still on as I made my
on time. Do I need to provide all appeal and court
correspondence or a letter will suffice?
Thanks for any response.

In person appointments should only be used for straightforward long residence applications. It is highly likely that your application will be deferred for further checks and join the postal pile of applications.

It's a pity you didn't take CR001's advice and saved yourself from paying the premium fee. :|

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
