Post by clairepf » Mon Jan 18, 2016 12:30 pm

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me with regards to the below questions (i am applying naturalization for me and my son (under section 1(3). My son was born here and im getting a divorce from my ex-husband):

MN1 FORM

-If im separated and going through a divorce do i need to provide my marriage certificate and my sons father passport or will my ilr suffice?

-I am applying under section 1(3) do i need to fill in section 3 ,about parents residence in UK and section 7 -consent to the application?

AN FORM - If i do not hold my original degree certificate would a transcript and letter suffice

Thank you

- Do i need to fill in section 2 -residence requirements?

MN1 Form

You will need to provide marriage certificate if your son was born before 2006.

Section 3 is not applicable (it is for section 3(2) and section 3(5) applications).

Section 7, your husband should sign consent yes, the form is clear that both parents consent is required. As an aside, what is your husbands immigration status?

AN Form

Not sure, perhaps one of the other mods/members can advise.

Have your tried to find out about your period of illegal stay?

You risk refusal due to your period of overstay between 2002 and 2009 until you were granted refugee status and the loss of your fee.

Hello 27 you have highjacked another member's thread. Please start your own thread as this is unfair to the OP and also causes confusion

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
