Tier 2 General visa minimal salary when apply outside UK

Hi,

I am planning to apply Tier 2 general sponsored visa outside of UK, on gov.uk website it mentioned the position requirement salary is 20,800pounds, however I have seen following text on workpermit website which saying apply outside of UK require minimal salary of 35k per year. my position is not in shortage list. has anyone applied out of UK have any idea about this?

General Rules for all applicants wanting to travel to the UK under Tier 2

Skilled migrant workers who come to the UK with a Tier 2 visa after April 2012 (and so will not be eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain until after 6th April 2016), will need to earn more than £35,000 per annum or their applications will not be successful.

35K limit is for ILR, so don't worry about if now.

For visa application you need to have a minimum salary based on the SOC code guide. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... l_2015.pdf

So check above pdf file and see what salary you need to get to be eligible for visa.
