Hi! I'm currently on a Tier 5 Youth mobility visa and am looking to apply for a resident card as the unmarried partner of my Italian partner. We've together 2.5 years, 1 year in Sydney and the rest of our time in London, both working full time since we got here. I've started to fill out the EEA(EFM) form for "extended family members", which I understand is for unmarried partners in a "durable relationship".
I had a few questions about the form and the supporting documents but haven't been able to find a contact number or email address for queries or assistance. I had a look for some similar Q&As but couldn't find anything, so hoping to ask a few questions here please:
Section 1.18 "Home office reference number?" I'm not sure I have one - what is it? Would my boyfriend have one too?
Documents:
Section 2 - My partner's proof of ID. He wants to submit his national identity card as he travels for work and needs his passport. His national ID card is entirely in Italian and I struggled to fill out the questions in Q2.14 so I was wondering if I will need to have it translated by a qualified professional translator?
Section 5 Proof of durable relationship. We lived together before in Sydney and then moved together to London about a year and a half ago. We don’t have mail addressed to the both of us together, so I understand thats 6 bits each. The documents with our address in London is not an issue, but documents and bills to our Sydney address, Im a little unsure of. We’ve found a few things with our Sydney address with dates, but not sure if they would be acceptable? We have:
- my partners confirmation of enrolment to Syd Uni
- my partners confirmation of health insurance
- my partners printed visa application for our travels to India
- 2 of my tax summaries from difference employers
- 2 printed copies of my gas and electricity bills (I had some old e-statements saved)
Could there be a problem with these documents? I was going to also contact my Australian bank to request a backdated bank statement to show my Sydney address in 2013 with official stamp, in case some of the documents above weren't suitable?
Also if I’m submitting payslips as proof of address, can i count the same one as proof of employment too? Or better to supply a different one?
Apologies for so many questions, I’m just really not sure where to go for help! Hoping to apply soon! Thank you in advance!
