EEA (PR) application - WRS registration

Post by BobSagett » Sat Jan 30, 2016 7:09 pm

Please can I have some advice on my case.
I am preparing to apply for permanent residence on the basis of exercising treaty rights in the UK as an EU national.
I have moved to the UK in November, 2010, and my employer immediately registered me in the WRS. I have worked for the same company until September, 2011 - therefore I haven't had 10 months of uninterrupted work. However the WRS has been abolished in April 2011.
So, my question is: do I still need to have an uninterrupted 12 months working for the same employer to qualify at present?

I meant to write " I haven't had 12 months of uninterrupted work" - as I only stayed for 10 months with that company.

You will need to show that you complied with the WRS until 30th April 2011, and afterwards you were not required to.

No.

It was not a requirement to serve the first 12 months on WRS with the same employer.
Even during first 12 months period it was possible to change employers (& re-register for WRS).

As long as you registered within a month of starting work & you have the WRS certificate then all should be well.
Your PR clock should have started approx November 2010.

Obie, noajthan, thank you for your replies.
This is the answer I was hoping for. Now I only wonder about one more thing... When I am completing Section 9 Subsection B 9.15 do I answer yes or no, and if yes, what date do I give? The date when they abolished WRS?
