Applying for Dependent Visa while on a Visitor Visa for Spou

Hi All,

I am currently in UK working on a Tier 2 ICT visa and my wife visited me on a Visitor Visa.

Currently her Visa is active till 29th May 2016. I wish to know if I can apply for her dependent Visa along with that Visitor Visa or there is a way to convert that Visa to Dependent one?

She would have to return to a country where she legally holds residence (not a visitor). It is not allowed to change from a visitor visa to any other category.

She is currently in India, her country of residence. So, does that mean that she can apply for the visa?

If she is in her home country, she can apply for a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa. It is a new application and totally separate to the visitor visa she holds, which will likely be cancelled anyway if she is granted a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa.
