After MAC, I heard the rules are going to be tough from this April 2016 to get Tier2 Gen Visa. Please advise if such type of rules are coming which vanishes the possibilities of ILR similar to ICT (those who came before 2011 and after 2010 not elibile for ILR)
am in Tier 2 ICT established staff visa since nov 2010 (ICT), visa valid till March 2016 with the same sponsor.
Current sponsor is willing to offer extension for 1 more year ict in the current situation(after that not sure their plan, but i doubt they extend 5 more years until 2020 - qualifying year for ilr)
Option 1:
Is it advisable to switch to tier 2 G with the new employer before april 2016 as rules are going to be very tough after April 2016?
New sponsor is also willing to offer job and rmlt completes 9th feb. New sponsor offered a good package better than ict. however there is a big challenge am not sure whether cos process(normally unrestricted cos takes 3 weeks) and after that premium appointment takes 1 more day.
may be overstay upto 28 days and after that 1 month notice to current employer in India
Option 2:
or get the current ict extended with the present employer and switch to tier2 g in the month of May or june (as soon as I receive ict visa)..but here drawback is i may not get good offer at that time..
only advantage is we can have sufficient time as you have valid visa and u can switch whenever u want(provided tier 2 General is smooth after april 2016)
