Hi all
Thought I would share my recent experience at the Solihull PSC for a FLR(M) 2nd extension on the 5 year route.
Booked early appointment (this is the way to go if you can get up early enough as your application is dealt with first). Went through the usual airport style security checks then my payment confirmation was checked by a case worker.
Then given a ticket and asked to wait for my number to the called. Once it was, went to the counter and handed over the documents + a photocopied set which the CW really appreciated. Then returned to the waiting area until my number was called again for biometrics. Once completed was asked to leave and wait for the phone call. There's a nearby John Lewis so my other half did the usual window shopping, then some actual shopping... fortunately the CW called and asked us to return before too much damage was inflicted on the credit card. It was an amazing 50 minutes between leaving the PSC to receiving the phone call. When we returned we were told the application was successful.
Documents provided
1) Letter from employer confirming start date, contract type, salary
2) Stamped payslips (last 6 months)
3) Stamped P60 (not actually required but included anyway)
4) Marriage certificate
5) Photos from holidays
6) 8 items of correspondence covering the last 2 years from 3 different sources (only 6 items are required but we included some extra ones)
7) Last 6 months bank statements (official statements as I opted for paper statements rather than online ones which would then have to be stamped)
Overall the experience was excellent, we went out of our way to use Solihull and it didn't disappoint.
Hope this helps someone!
