Please clarify on Form MN1

Hello,

I am applying my children for the British Citizenship under Section 3 (1) along with my application as my children were born in India. We were all granted ILR in January 2015.

Page 11 of Form MN1, Do I need to complete the section? Section 3 - Parent's residence in the UK or the British overseas territories, where applicable.

As per the MN 1 Guide, this section to be completed by any one parent is the one who is a British citizen by descent and on whom this applicaiton is based.

But the headline of this section in the applicaiton form says, Parents' residence in the UK
(As per this any parent on ILR can be classed as Residence in UK)

No, section 3 is not relevant to you. It is only applicable to section 3(2) and 3(5) applications.
