Intial visa duration and ILR and Extension date-urgent

hi folks,

My initial visa duration is 2 years, 11 months, 17 days excluding the end date.

Should not it be three years exact... ?

If God willing i got extension for 2 years then i will be short of 13 days for 5 years ILR duration.

My visa expiry is on 26-MArch-2016

If i send the docs on 29-feb...will i be fine ?

Just to update..The date on the approval letter makes exact three years and the date which is on BRP(Date of issue) is after12 days than that date....So i think the date on approval letter will be under consideration not the date of issue on BRP.

am i right...??

Your qualifying period starts from the date you got the HO confirmation letter. You can apply for ILR only up to 28 days before your 5 year qualifying period is complete. If you apply too early you risk to be short of more than 28 days and could face problems if you want to apply for ILR. I believe that applying 20-25 days early should be fine given that generally, an application could take more than that to be processed.
