Gaps in timeline - have I acquired PR?

I'm Spanish and I have been in the UK since 2000 except for a few short trips. I haven't been working all this time, for a period of a little more than two years ending roughly three years ago I wasn't, and I don't think I fulfill the requirements of being self-sufficient at the time (I was living with my partner). Am I right in thinking that I can still apply for a certificate of permanent residency and I should get it? If this is right, should I fill in the forms with the information about the five years before this gap?

If you have a continuous 5 year period of exercising treaty rights then should should have acquired PR automatically, and you won't have lost it even if you stopped exercising treaty rights afterwards, unless you have had serious absences from the UK (2+ years).

You need to write a detailed timeline of your economic activity so people can work out whether you have PR or not

Thanks. I won't post a complete timeline of my economic activity because I've changed jobs a number of times and there were gaps in the middle at several times. But the last part of it looks like this:

Aug 2004 - Oct 2010 - Continuously employed (3 different companies, but there were no gaps in the middle)
Nov 2010 - Dec 2012 (when I checked dates I realised the gap was longer than I thought!) - Gap
Jan 2013 - Present - Continuously employed.

I gather that I must have PR since 2010, if not earlier. I'd like to get a certificate for this because I want to get British citizenship and I understand I need to get the certificate first.

When I fill in the form, do I put this whole section of my timeline? Or just the part where I'm continuously employed for 5 years? Or the whole timeline since I first arrived in 2000?

You probably acquired PR in 2010. If you have adequate supporting evidence.

Otherwise if your PR clock only started in 2013 it will have to run to 2018, assuming you keep working or otherwise keep exercising treaty rights (& don't leave UK for any prolonged period).

You would have to fill in details since at least 2004/2005 as you have to prove not only treaty rights, but also residency and no significant absences from UK.
